HGL is an all-encompassing global freight logistics provider, based just outside Auckland. We’re the New Zealand arm of Hemisphere Freight Services Ltd, a UK firm that started as one small office in 1989 and grew to become one of the largest independent providers of logistics solutions across Europe, Asia, Australasia, North America, South America and Africa.
We specialise in providing global supply chain solutions and can handle every aspect of our clients’ cargo needs via our expert in-house teams – from start to finish, regardless of point of origin or destination.

Delivering sustainability as standard

Operating sustainably and protecting the environment is something we take very seriously here at HGL. We operate paper-lite offices wherever possible and make every effort to reduce our carbon footprint.

The increase in carbon emissions is a global concern, and we aim to be part of the solution rather than contribute to the problem. We work with road haulage partners that adhere to emissions standards, meaning they’re low emission, quiet and have advanced safety systems.

As an innovative, forward-thinking company, we’re always keen to explore and take advantage of the latest technology; for example, trailers capable of converting kinetic energy from the wheels to electricity to power refrigerated units (which can have a massive impact on reducing the cooling system’s CO2 emissions) and the use of dual-fuel vehicles for high-mileage contracts, as well as eco-themed driver training programmes.
